I checked my e-mail today and apparently I received money to my PayPal account from Society6. This isn't my first time making money on Society6 from my products on my store. What I just noticed about Society6 is that it's not like Redbubble where you have to make a certain amount of money in order to receive your payment. Redbubble has a threshold of $20. Society6 does not. For instance if I sell something on my store, I receive that commission on the first day of the month after it has been cleared. This time I received $4.88 from a shirt that I sold and I have $2.20 currently pending for a print that I sold. It might not look like much but it's nice to be able to receive the money without it having to meet a certain amount.
Hey guys. Just wanted to let everyone know that this design will only be for sale on TeeVolt for the next 24 hours. After that, the only place you can find it for sale is on RedBubble. Get it before it's gone! www.teevolt.com
On June 11th, my design "The Hunter Games" will be up for sale for five days on TeeVolt. This is my first design to be printed by a daily t-shirt site. I'm pretty excited
I can't believe it. I was all excited to listen to part 2 of Jeff Lafferty's Back to the Drawing Board Podcast interview with Edward Cherniga. Now, I'm even more excited to know that I won the drawing for the pencil study of Jeff's Mad Max sketch card. My jaw literally dropped when I heard my username. I thought that my chances of winning were fairly slim. Jeff is a really talented artist and is basically the person that got me interested in doing sketch cards. I first saw his work on eBay, which had a video attached with his process for creating his sketch cards. I bought a Princess Leia print from him. I had mentioned this in a previous journal. I had provided a link for you guys to check out his work. Jeff obviously saw my journal and told me that he was going to include something extra along with the card that I bought as a way of saying thanks. All I was expecting a bonus sketch card. Jeff was kind enough to send me not ONE but TWO extra sketch cards, one of Han Solo and one of Chewbacca. Jeff went above and beyond my expectations. You can definitely see that in his work. Now I'm proud to say that I will have an original piece of art from Jeff Lafferty.
Thank you so much, Jeff. Never stop making art.
Check out Jeff Lafferty at his site: www.jefflafferty.com, add him to your deviantWATCH , and listen to his Back to the Drawing Board Podcast on Youtube: www.youtube.com/user/LaffertyS… (my favorite interviews so far: Lora Innes, Jon Riggle, and Edward Cherniga)
I was able to snag two sets of 12 Prismacolor Markers for $7 a piece. I had one hiding underneath a bunch of office supplies until they marked them down to 80%. That one was missing a purple marker. On my way to get the markers, I found another set. That set was complete. After looking around some more, I was able to find a pink Prismacolor marker just lying in a bin full of pens and Sharpies. Since I couldn't find the purple marker for the other set, I added the pink marker to that one. So now I have two pink markers. What in the world can I use those for? lol In the end, I was able to get two brand new sets of Prismacolor Markers. Now I can add them to my set of 24 Prismacolor Markers that I got for $22. Gotta love salvage stores
